RESOURCES FOR EQUIPPING PARENTS TO MORE EFFECTIVELY GUIDE THEIR CHILDREN LIVING IN RISK
The following resources have been put together by a real mom who has and is guiding her children through risk at various stages of child development. The first document has had extensive input from parents across the CAME region.
The additional eight documents have been selected with the following values: a lot of white space (i.e. not wordy, scholarly, and practical for parents in risk); with a variety of styles and situations (home and classroom); and integrated and holistic. Some of the documents are repetitious, but in a different style, so use whatever works for your child in your risk situation.
Disclaimer: These combined resources do NOT replace clinical assessment, and you are highly encouraged to have your children clinically assessed on home leave if you have been living in/near a war zone or experienced trauma during your past term to make sure you’ve done everything possible for them to process trauma.
